Since 2011, the year the festival was founded, Cerealia has sought to promote the sharing of common challenges among regional clusters of the peoples living along the shores of the mare nostrum. It encourages the development of sustainable circular economy models and embraces the 17 SDGs of the UN 2030 Agenda through a bottom-up, participatory approach that values the perspectives and expertise of civil society, while respecting and safeguarding the Mediterranean ecosystem.
