Format: Interdisciplinary event, concluding the XI edition of the Cerealia Festival – Free participation, hybrid mode
The extensive program of the 11th edition of the Cerealia Festival concluded on Thursday, 25 November, at the splendid Rome headquarters of Confagricoltura, with an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to the prince of cereals, rice, followed by a concert.
The event was organized by INSOR (National Institute of Rural Sociology) in collaboration with FIDAF (Italian Federation of Agricultural and Forestry Science Graduates), ISMEO (International Association for Mediterranean and Oriental Studies), Confagricoltura, CREA (Council for Agricultural Research and Economics), FOSAN, and ARGA Lazio, under the patronage of the Ente Nazionale Risi.
The proceedings were opened by Gian Marco Centinaio, Undersecretary of State at MiPAAF. Greetings were given by Filippo Schiavone (member of the National Board of Confagricoltura), Carlo Gaudio (CREA President), Andrea Sonnino (FIDAF President), Roberto Ambrogi (ARGA Lazio President), and Paola Sarcina, director and founder of the Cerealia Festival.
The speakers, moderated by journalist Tiziana Briguglio, included:

At the end of the conference, the educational publication Il riso – un cereale che viene da lontano was presented for the first time, published by CREA for the 10th anniversary of the Cerealia Festival.
The day concluded with an Arab music concert organized by ISMEO, featuring performers Marzouk Mejri (ney, darbuka, voice) and Salvatore Morra (guitar, oud ʻarbī).
