Green Culture Award to the Cerealia Festival
The Cerealia Festival has been awarded the Compraverde Prize for “Green Culture.”
The Cerealia Festival has been awarded by Fondazione Ecosistemi. The 19th edition of the Forum Compraverde Buygreen, promoted by Fondazione Ecosistemi, concluded with the presentation of the Compraverde Buygreen Awards, currently the only recognition in Italy dedicated to the best national experiences in Green Public Procurement (GPP).
This year’s edition honoured the best Italian – and, for the first time, European – initiatives in the following categories: GPP policy, green tender, green canteen, social procurement, green culture, and vendor rating.
In the Green Culture category, the award went to the Cerealia Festival, whose executive producer and coordinator of the Festival Network is the cultural association Music Theatre International – M.Th.I. ETS, for:
“its ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of sustainability through a nationwide, multi-site festival capable of adapting and bringing good practices to diverse contexts. The Sustainable Event Guidelines developed for the Festival represent a concrete and replicable example of an inclusive, participatory, and low-environmental-impact cultural event.”
