Climate Meeting in Tagliamento

A session combining presentations and performances designed to raise awareness and promote understanding of climate change

Science, Art, Food, Technology – Climate Change Theatre Action on the Tagliamento
This multidisciplinary—or rather cross-disciplinary—event, designed to spark interest and curiosity, was conceived by the eclectic director Giovanni Morassutti, who is also the artistic director of the international artist residency Art Aia – Creatives / In Residence.
Morassutti decided to participate with an original, entirely Friuli Venezia Giulia-made event in the Climate Change Theatre Action, an international project promoted by The Arctic Cycle and the Centre for Sustainable Practice in the Arts. Between September and December 2021, the project featured a series of readings and performances of short plays written by over 50 playwrights worldwide, all addressing the theme of climate change, coordinated with the United Nations Climate Conference (COP26).
The idea was to create a dedicated event in Friuli Venezia Giulia, engaging multiple public and private partners to foster cross-sector cohesion in the region and stimulate potential collaborative developments.
